Minniemau known as Minnie

by Rita Gillespie
(Belfast N.Ireland)

My husband and I travel to Sinia Middle East a couple of times a year and we found little baby Minnie in our garden along by the Red Sea being thrown around by a child and hungry.

We fell in love with Minnie and she was taken to the vet in for all her injections and treatments and micro chip.
Then we found a foster home and left Minnie in the capable hands of a Dutch friend Annet until We could ge the rabies test completed. When Minnie was given the all clear we went to sinia in March 14 to get her home and that was a challenge and a half. To cut a long story short Minnie escaped from our house a couple of minutes after we collected her from Annet and a search party was organised, posters offering a reward and our friends doing their best to find her. Five days later Minnie was found by a Beduin boy at night beside the Mosque and was returned to us 3 weeks later she was put on a flight to Cairo and we travelled with her to ensure she was met by a friend who would put her on a flight for Heathrow next morn - 2 days later my little beauty Minnie arrived at George Best airport Belfast and was collected by us to start her new life with our other 2 cats River and Sister both rescued

Minnie is now spoiled so much and lives up to all the characteristics described about the mau - one thing she loves is a ride in her little dolls pram honestly she is so cute and gorgeous - the downside is my trips to m East May have to end as we do not want to leave ms Min - I am not sure about IT re sending you a photo but would be happy to try later. It has been nice sharing this story - I will also mention that all in the cost to get Minnie to Ireland was just over £3000 so it was quite lucky that I have a job.

What an amazing adventure little Minnie had! I don't know many people who would take all that trouble (and pay all those costs) to ensure the safety of a little street cat. You must be an exceptional person, and I hope little Minnie realises how lucky she is to have you!

You can send Minnie's photo later - just use the same form you used to post this original post, and put Minniemau as the headline. I'll attach the pic later. Would be quite curious to see this little adventurer!

The Nephilim Quest Series

The first book in an epic fantasy series based on human mythology. The search for the mythical Watchers, the angels who fathered the Nephilim, the half-angels. A story that moves on three levels - our times, ancient Greece and ancient Egypt.
